Free Fire is the ultimate survival shooter game available on mobile. Each 10-minute game places you on a remote island where you are pit against 49 other players, all seeking survival.Players freely choose their starting point with their para**e, and aim to stay in the safe zone for as long as possible. Drive vehicles to explore the vast map, hide in trenches, or become invisible by proning under grass. Ambush, snipe, survive, there is only one goal: to survive.

Design

So let’s compare this game to Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) on the Mobile. Free fire graphics is very average compared to PUBG mobile with most of the furniture like the tables or houses are very blurry. 

However, the performance of Free Fire is more smooth than PUBG mobile which phones who do not have decent CPU can run Free Fire smoothly without noticeable FPS lag. So it really depends on what you prefer, either performance(Free Fire) or quality(PUBG Mobile). Animations for Free Fire feels weird when your player runs around the map and when he/she reloads the weapon like they don’t reload the magazine properly.

Weapons in Free Fire

Actually similar to PUBG Mobile even though Free Fire has lesser weapons than PUBG Mobile

• Pistols which include M500, M1873 (double barrel), USP, G18 and Desert Eagle
• Shotguns which include M1014
• Assault Rifles which include Famas, M4A1, AK and SCAR
• Sub Machine Guns (SMG) which include MP40, UMP and MP5
• Sniper Rifles which include VSS, M14, SKS and Kar98k

There is very little variety of throwables which is only a frag grenade, two melee weapons which are only a Pan and Parang and only one heal which is a medkit. The backpacks, body armor and helmets are the same as PUBG Mobile. There are also attachments and scopes which reduces the recoil of the weapon or zoom closer to the enemy.

Gameplay

Instead of 100 players, this game only has 50 players in one game lobby while waiting for the game to begin. You will start off in an airplane which you can drop anywhere to gather weapons and items to defeat your opponents to become the last one standing. You have 4 weapon slots, with 2 primaries, 1 pistol and 1 melee. 

There are buttons that you can aim, fire, run, jump, crouch and prone. You can also heal yourself by pressing the medkit button since there is only one type of heal anyway. The controls might be confusing at first especially if you are new to the battle royale genre but you will get used to it the more you play.

You can loot armor and helmet, each with its own level to increase your defence and backpacks which increase the amount of loot you can take.

After a certain amount of time, there will be a safe zone in a white circle which you must go inside before it shrinks and if you are outside the safe zone you will take damage over time. 

There are vehicles in the game which you can drive to move faster to the safe zone. You can use vehicles to ram over enemies which guarantees a kill which I feel is kinda broken honestly.

Somehow throughout the game, you encounter mushrooms which you can interact to regain HP over time. There are also armor kits which you can interact to increase your armor level to increase defence. At a certain point in time, an airplane will drop supply drops which you can loot for special weapons like the Groza, AWM and M249. Be warned though, the supply drop will usually have a ton of enemy players so be prepared.

Customization

This game has quite a number of different outfits to choose from to design your character like the newly released soccer outfit for both genders which I think looks pretty cool. 

Only one problem though, most of those you have to use real money to obtain those which kinda like a greedy tactic which I don’t think is surprising really.
